Symposium and Roundtable Development – APANAC 2018.

The Third Symposium Science in Central Provinces was organized by the Instituto de Ciencias Medicas and the Regional University Center of Azuero, CRUA, University of Panama. This event was held in September 2018 and had the following objectives:
- Contribute to the decentralization of science.
- Show part of the Science that is done in the interior.
- Establish collaborative links between the exhibiting scientists who showed their work and those attending the event.
- Create scientific links between researchers and students attending the event.
To meet the objectives set, at the end of the event a panel called “Budget for Science in Panama” was held, where participants in their capacity initiated a dialogue on the importance of improving the budget allocated for the development of science in the Republic of Panama and the importance of decentralizing the budget.
