II Symposium Science in Central Provinces.

The II Symposium Science in Central Provinces was organized by the Instituto de Ciencias Medicas, Universidad de Panama, the CRUA, and the Science in Panama movement. This event was held in September 2017 and its objectives were for participants to review, discuss and reach conclusions about the situation of science in our country and the need to strengthen it in the central provinces.

To meet that objective, a Panel entitled “Science in Panama and Public Policy” was held at the end of the event where participants, in their capacity, initiated a dialogue on the importance of strengthening scientific activity in general and especially research and academia in Panama and the Central Provinces.
